SPRING MUSIC PROGRAMS

4th Grade May 21 6:00 p.m.

5th Grade May 23 6:00 p.m.

6th Grade Band and Orchestra Concert May 16 7:00 p.m.

Band and Orchestra Presentation for 5th Grade

Attention 5th Grade Students: Are you interested in Band or Orchestra next year? 8th Grade Band and Orchestra students will visit the Upper Elementary on Tuesday, May 7 to give a presentation. On Friday, May 17, Band and Orchestra Directors Bruce Cassell, Laura Robinson, and Joe Harmsen will be here to meet with interested students for instrument fittings.

CLEAR LAKE OPPORTUNITY

All 6th grade students will have an opportunity to attend Clear Lake in 7th grade as part of a grant funded project. Clear Lake is located on 22 acres of Hiawatha National Forest. The Education Center has been engaging Upper Peninsula students for over 30 years with hands on outdoor learning that focuses on the environment and natural resources. Students will be able to take part in a variety of programs that address the importance of healthy watersheds and enjoy some outdoor recreation. All 6th grade students are asked to complete a registration form. Forms are available in the office.

Last Day

The last day of school will be June 13. No make up days will be required. June 11-13 will be half days with dismissal at 11:20.

JR. HIGH VISIT

On Friday, May 31st all 6th grade students will tour the Jr. High in the morning and hear a presentation from the Principal. Afterward, they will have lunch in the Jr. High cafeteria. This will be a fun opportunity for students to get to the know the Jr. High bldg and staff.
